Mediclear Plus by Thorne Research contains all the nutritional components of MediClear with the added advantages of curcumin phytosome, grape seed phytosome, and green tea phytosome – all well-absorbed forms of these plant extracts for maintenance of the body's normal inflammatory response.
Our external environment has become increasingly more polluted in the last 50 years, causing a greater cumulative toxic burden in humans than ever before. Added to this are the many internally produced substances (hormones, biochemical metabolites) the body must detoxify on a daily basis. What is Phase I/Phase II Liver Detoxification?
In phase I of liver detoxification, fat-soluble substances are converted to intermediate metabolites mainly by a group of enzymes called cytochrome p450 enzymes. The intermediate molecules are often more reactive and potentially more toxic than the original substance. Phase II detoxification involves the attachment of other molecules onto these intermediate metabolites to make them non-toxic and water-soluble and allow their elimination via the urine or intestines.

ALLERGY WARNING
This product is contraindicated in an individual with a history of hypersensitivity to any of its ingredients.
MediClear Plus by Thorne Research contains green tea phytosome, curcumin phytosome, and grape seed phytosome - plant extracts complexed with phosphatidylcholine, which is derived from soy. Phosphatidylcholine contains no soy protein. There are no other soy-based ingredients in MediClear Plus.
EXCIPIENT FREE
This product does not contain wheat, gluten, corn, yeast, egg, dairy products, or artificial colors, sweeteners, or flavors. This product also does not contain lactose, palmitic acid, or magnesium, calcium, or vegetable stearates.

INTERACTIONS/CONTRAINDICATIONS
Folinic acid and 5-methyl-tetrahydrofolate supplementation is not recommended concurrently with methotrexate cancer therapy, as they can interfere with methotrexate's anti-neoplastic activity; however, these folate sources have not been shown to interfere with the anti-inflammatory activity of methotrexate. An individual taking methotrexate for psoriasis or rheumatoid arthritis can safely take a supplement containing folate.
Curcumin has been shown to reduce the therapeutic efficacy of cyclophosphamide (Cytoxan) in animal studies. In vitro research revealed that curcumin decreased camptothecin-induced death of cultured breast cancer cells. Curcumin might also interfere with the absorption and efficacy of the chemotherapy drug irinotecan, used to treat colon cancer. The concurrent use of curcumin with these agents should be avoided.
