CAUSE Of Migraine Headaches Finally Revealed! (as well as a potential resolution.)

If you have ever had a migraine headache, you know how painful and debilitating they can be!  One in seven people suffer from migraine making them the third most prevalent illness in the world!

While a long list of causes and triggers have been implicated such as: 

• Food Allergy
• Lack of Sleep
• Hormonal Shifts
• Genes
• Neurological problems

The Truth is that science hasn't really determined a cause and that has made effective treatment an impossibility for most.  Until Now. (Finally), a group of scientists at the International Genetics Consortium has discovered and agreed that the cause is constriction of  the blood vessels within the brain.

This study, based on almost 60,000 participants as migraine sufferers and 300,000 controls from 12 different countries was published recently in the journal,  Nature Genetics.  According to the researchers, new therapies should be directed towards modifying vascular tone. 

I think they may be on to something.  For several years, I have been helping clients with chronic migraine through two avenues.  One is reducing overall inflammation systemically in the body and the second by supplying nutrients to tonify the arteries and arterioles based on individualized nutrient testing.  Both of these interventions have been extremely effective as they make the afflicted blood vessels less reactionary to environmental triggers. Over a few months the migraines seem to burn themselves out.
