America's tremendous imbalance between stress and rest/relaxation/ enjoyment has created an society of chronically anxious, fatigued, "stressed out" Americans. I would go so far to say burnt out. Recent clinical research has shown that stress can shorten telomeres, the protective nucleoproteins at the ends of chromosomes. Thus stress can shorten life expectancy. Chronic stress is also associated with many of the biological changes we associate with "aging".

 

 

Botanical adaptogens have been clinically shown to help the human adapt to stressors of all types.
