Many of our clients when they begin seeing us, see major improvements in their health. They then become converts to holistic healthcare as a lifestyle. Sometimes they start seeing holistic dentists. These dentists will usually start trying to persuade them to eliminate their mercury fillings. Typically this involves a ton of money, and usually no testing is ever performed to indicate that the person is mercury toxic in the first place.
While I do agree that mercury toxicity can be a huge health problem for susceptible people, I am not convinced that mercury fillings are a health evil for most people. In addition, I sometimes advise patients not to have their fillings removed under certain circumstances because their other organ systems are too weak, at that point, to well tolerate the additional stress and toxins released by their removal.
There are miraculous reports of people with autoimmune illness who experience dramatic improvement in their conditions. I have also seen many who have not experienced any improvement. How does one know if they would stand to benefit from the process of filling removal?
If you are the exception person whom is having a mercury problem I do think it is important to be certain that your body is in the shape to handle the filling extraction. There are many different ways to support the body's natural detoxification system for optimal results. Diet, supplements, and other practices can facilitate the safe, effective removal of heavy metals from the body. One product I like is Alginate by Rx Vitamins.
