This month's featured products for better looks are: Rejuvenate,  ApotheLash, & Ahava Dead Sea Products. Spring is a perfect time for a physical rebirth. Here are some great

new beauty helpers!

With waning estrogen levels, many women experience skin changes such as: thinner drier skin, parchment like eyelid skin,  and skin that no longer has its youthful luster.  Rejuvenate: a 3% estradiol cream can help skin regain its younger qualities.  As a plant based formula, it does not contain any pharmaceutical hormones.  Cost is $60 for a two month supply....BUT on SALE this month!!!  100% money back guarantee!!!

ApotheLash is Nature's answer to Latisse the new pharmaceutical drug for longer, thicker lashes.  Studies have confirmed growth of approximately 2mm for each woman.  Lashes also grow in thicker and  fuller.  Cost is $195....Normal is $210, which is a 3-4 month supply.  Available by special order only. No side effects have been noted for Apothelash while Latisse has been associated with AHEM...blindness and other ill effects. NO THANKS!

A treasured patient brought me this product from Israel to help my skin problems stemming from a terrible sunscreen ordeal.  I must admit I am impressed, with the products, my own experience and their research and testimonials with respect to many skin problems.    Rich in mineral content from the dead sea, there are: dead sea muds, serums and creams with differing levels of dead sea minerals.  Prices range from $26.00-$58.00, all products are available by special order only.

      The Upside To STRESS

Intrigued?  So was I... I had not heard much about a good side to stress until I read an extensive article

last month in Newsweek.  The one thing I have learned personally is that getting through very tough things on my own has significantly increased my self esteem.  I have confirmed this with a therapist friend and client whose work I greatly admire.  Still, if you listen only to research, stress would seem to only create a cascade of negative chemicals that eventually wreck our hormones and set us up for a chronic disease and early death, so what is the truth???

Hans Selye, the eminent researcher and father of groundbreaking research on stress in the 1930's believed that the stress response was a mechanism that was in place to help us survive.  If moderated, it can.  Unfortunately, many people experience chronic stress which is more likely to do us alot of harm.

People who are less resilient to stress according to the article, tend to take events personally.  I used to be one of those people, and was born and raised by two people who did not change this characteristic.  My mother, died prematurely in the fall from an aneurysm...probably from chronic internal stress.

According to this article, the extent to which people take stress personally affects their ability to be resilient. It is a known fact that people respond and heal faster from natural disasters than personal attacks.  According to the researchers they are stating to themselves: " This is not my fault, and there is nothing about me that deserves this trauma."

According to the article, resilient people recognize that bad things happen to good people so they are not overwhelmed when they experience life's setbacks.  Resilient people also have confidence in their ability to deal with tough situations and they are able to form bonds with responsible adults and learn from them how to withstand pain and disappointment.  These are tremendous and necessary skills for health that I think anyone can learn at any time.
